A couple months ago, Lexar approached me about sponsoring a contest on my blog and offered to give the winner a Lexar memory card! They even were kind enough to send me one of their cards so that I could try it out.
Can I just tell you something? Lexar’s card put my old cards in retirement. They have been banished to the camera bag and haven’t seen the light of day since. I’m punishing them for being soooo slow. The “write speed” of Lexar’s card puts the rest to shame. And my old cards were the other brand’s Professional Series. I’ve become a Lexar believer, and we want you to be one, too! Read on….
The Summer Shutterbug Contest
Send me your favorite summer image, taken by YOU! A panel of four judges will narrow down the entries to five lucky finalists, and then we will have an online vote to determine the winner! The winner will receive a Lexar 4GB memory upgrade customized for your camera (CF, SDHC, MSPD, microSDHC) from Lexar AND a 16×20 print of your image from Emily Murdock Photography!
The Rules:
*The image must be taken by you, and by submitting your image you assert that you (a) have the legal right to the image and (b) grant Emily Murdock Photography permission to post and use your image for the purposes of this contest.
*Your image may be edited using an editing program, such as Photoshop or similar.
*Images must be received by July 18 at midnight, PST.
*This contest is open to professional and amateur photographers; however, a note to professional photographers–you may not submit an image that was commissioned for a client, whether or not you received compensation for your image. You may only submit images that were taken for personal purposes.
*Entries are limited to THREE images per person.
*Send your image, along with your full name, phone number (seriously, I’ll only call if I have a question!), address (where we can send the loot!), email address and your website/blog to : summershutterbug@gmail.com. Your personal information will not be shared, but your first name and your website/blog will be posted with your image if your image is featured on this blog. Finalists will definitely be featured, and some Honorable Mentions may be as well.
